Just Another Manic Monday
{WARNING: Weak stomach's please look away. All events are in fact real & actually happened yesterday.}
Nine o'clock already
I was just in the middle of shopping
I was runnin' to the register
Just try-in' to pay for my things
But all of a sudden
Just right of of the clear blue
Poor Ava started throwing up
And I didn't have a clue what to do
It was just another Manic Monday
Sure wasn't a fun-day
It was supposed to be my
'Go-to-town-and-run-around' day
But it was just another Manic Monday
Changed her clothes and wiped her down
Tried to keep her calm as she cried
Buckled her in and headed home
She couldn't have kept it all in if she tried
'Cause the poor girl threw up again
Just as we were getting on the Interstate
Her clean clothes, her car seat, and the floor
none of them realized their fate
It was just another Manic Monday
Sure wasn't a fun-day
It was turning out to be my
'Clean-it-all-up' day
It was just another Manic Monday
Of all of the days
Why did the Cat have to pick yesterday
To throw up as well
When we got home
All I could to was groan-
'Put it all in the washer-
everything we own.'
Took out the car seat
It will have to be hosed down
'Oh no! We're almost out of Lysol!
Quick, someone run to town!'
It was just another Manic Monday
Sure wasn't a fun-day
It turned out to be a
'Awww!-That-poor-baby' day
It was just another Manic Monday

That poor baby. Seth was excellent at this. I always got a trashcan and put a new trashbag in it, set it beside him and we didn't have so much to clean up. (Just a hint from the old mother) And you can try to give her the BRAT diet-Bananas, rice, applesauce, Toast until she gets better. HOpe it is over today! lov lov lov
ReplyDeletePoor thing. Hope she gets to feeling better soon!
ReplyDeleteOh you poor, poor thing!!! That is so terrible!!! I have to say I have never had the experience of a child throwing up in the middle of a store...peeing, yes..puking, no. I think you are due a day of Ava-free shopping. :)

ReplyDeleteLeave it to you to be able to describe a throw up experience in a such a nice way! I feel for you! Although we haven't had that going on around here.. Brady has been sick for 3 days! He's had fever non-stop since Monday. We go today for blood work :( I don't know who's dreading it worse.. me or him! Hope Miss Cutie is feeling better! I went to Wal-Mart yesterday and they were out of Lysol, I guess you bought it all :)
ReplyDeleteBless Ava's heart! Yeah Mallory did the same thing. I had only had my "new ride" a couple days, and she threw up three different times on the way home. (not fun)...hope she is better soon!
ReplyDeletePoor Ava! I loved the poem though!
