Her Very Own

When Emily (my niece) was little, Tom (D.Might's dad aka PawPaw) made her the sweetest little playhouse - it had a front porch, flower boxes on the windows, wallpaper inside, & to top it off - a weather vein with a pig on the roof. Oh, how I longed for the day that I would have a little girl to have a playhouse so sweet!
Well friends - that day has come...
Ava has her very own Playhouse in our yard!
PawPaw & Mimi brought Ava her Playhouse a few weeks ago & I have just finished "decorating" it! It is by far the nicest Playhouse I've ever seen (has a steel door, trim on the windows - inside & out - & can fit 4 grown adults comfortably :)! Sit back & relax as I give you the grand tour...

Yes, folks - that is rock you see on the bottom half of the Playhouse (to coordinate with the exterior of our house)! How stinkin' cute are the flower boxes & her personalized rocking chair on the front porch?! Did you see the mailbox?! She will be so excited to get her very own mail!
I'm still searching for the perfect weather vein to go on the roof... all in due time...

She LOVES her front porch!

Here is her pet kitty cat, Princeabella !
(um, yeah, there's "food" & "water" in the cat's dish :)

When you walk into the right, there is the kitchen & laundry room. What Playhouse would be complete without a pink cordless phone & a clothes line?! Looks like that Baby Doll is livin' the life...

Here's Tu hard at work - ironing! She definitely didn't get this skill from her Mama ;)
The quote on the wall says:
"There is a place in every childhood -
a special place - where colors are brighter,
the air is softer, and fairy tales do come true..."

This is the view directly in front of you when you come through the front door. She's all set for afternoon tea (complete with real flowers)! The bins hold toys & nick-knacks. Oh, & yes, those are canvas' hung above the "sitting area" :)

This is the view when you walk in to the left. Princeabella's corner is there on the right. The buckets beside the chalkboard hold chalk & magnetic numbers & letters. Her coat rack (where else would she put her purses?) is there under the window & the "light switch" is also on that wall. Too bad I didn't get a good pic of the curtains - they hang on sticks we picked in the lot across the street!

Here she is being creative - now this skill she does get from her Mama, ha!

"Ya'll come back now, ya hear!"
Thank you so much PawPaw (& Mimi :) for Ava's Playhouse!
I know there were countless hours spent getting it just right & it truly is...
